Middle School Water Polo Program - September to November 2024 for Boys and Girls student-athletes from any

Visalia Unified School District Middle School or Elementary 6th Grader.

 This program is designed to introduce middle school student-athletes to competitive water polo and prepare them to play in high school.

 This program is designed to continue and become a permanent Middle School Sport for all Visalia Middle Schools.

 Student-athletes need a Speedo or jammer swimsuit - a purchase link will be available, or students can access loaner suits.

 August 10th @ El Diamante Pool: 10:00 AM to Noon: Purchased and Loaner Suit Pick-up

 August 17th @ El Diamante Pool: 10:00 AM to Noon: Loaner Suit exchange for size fit

 Saturday, Sept.  7th - Orientation @ El Diamante High School

 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM:  Boys’ Orientation  

 Practice group assignment, swim skills evaluation, water polo skills testing, walk thru scrimmage, and game rules.

 11:00 AM to Noon: All players – Boys and Girls parent meeting

 Review season practice and game schedules, discuss nutrition, discuss dry land training, group, and individual pictures

 Noon to 2:00 PM: Girls’ Orientation

 Practice group assignment, swim skills evaluation, water polo skills testing, walk thru scrimmage, and game rules.

 Saturday, Sept. 14th   

Tony Azevedo Clinic & Skills Assessment @ El Diamante High School

 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM: Boys Clinic and Skills Challenge

 12:00 PM – 2:30 PM: Girls Clinic and Skills Challenge 

Saturday Sept 21st:  Bye - No Practice - No Games

Sept.28th - Regular Season Starts: Practice and Game Schedule

Sept. 28th & Oct. 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th & Nov 2nd

8:45 AM to 10:45 AM: All players practice

Girls practice @ Mt. Whitney High School

Boys practice @ El Diamante High School

Additional information regarding Saturday Intra-VUSD games and possible weekday afterschool games in the Central Valley Athletic League will be posted later this summer
