2026 Spring Learn-to-Swim Classes

SOVA Spring Learn-to-Swim Classes

The Spring session runs from February 2nd to April 30th. The complete Learn-to-swim course is approximately 16 30-minute lessons. With continuous attendance 4 nights per week for 30 minutes, the class can be completed in 4 weeks. We are flexible with your schedule so it may take you longer to complete 16 classes.

*Note: You may sign up for our competitive swim club if you pass our basic water skills assessment. Just show up at practice and we will administer the assessment, if you don't pass the assessment you can enroll in these Learn-to-swim classes and earn a SOVA Basic Swim Skills Certificate which will allow you to join our competitive swim club.

Learn to swim is for boys and girls ages 5 to 17. Please contact us for adult learn to swim classes

Class schedules available on Monday thru Friday to schedule 30-minutes sessions between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM @ Mission Oak High School and El Dimante High School in Visalia between 6:00 PM and 7:30 PM.

NOTE: Some designated Thursdays will be unavailable due to high school swim meets,

4 Week Class Sessions - (4 )30-minute classes per week for 4 weeks* = 16 classes

No more than 4 students per class

$175.00 per 4-week session/16 classes. There is no additional fee if you choose to complete the 16 courses at a slower pace than 4 weeks. You get the full 16 classes at your pace.

Students take four Basic Swim Skills Unit tests on basic swim skills. SOVA Basic Swim Skills Certificate are earned upon successful unit tests.

We are flexible with schedules and working with families to complete the certification.

All youth athletes who want to join SOVA Swim Club and/or SOVA Water Polo Academy must pass a basic swim skills assessment. If they don't pass, they can enroll in the SOVA Learn-to-Swim Classes and earn a SOVA Basic Swim Skills Certificate that will qualify to join the swim and water polo clubs.

After you register just come to the pool (El Diamante High School or Mission Oak High School) between 6:00 PM and 7:30 PM Monday thru Friday to meet the instructor and work out your class schedule.
