His COED 12U team in 2023 earned the top seed in the Central Zone and finished 7th in the nation at the highest (Platinum) level.

Yenigues successfully created and integrated a USA Swimming Club into SOVA to ensure Visalia and the surrounding area has a competitive swim option for student-athletes. SOVA has continued to expand under his leadership to include becoming a USA Dive Club. Yenigues successfully partnered with the Visalia Unified School District to create the Middle School Water Polo Program to expand the local school district athletics to include water polo at the middle schools.

“I am incredibly proud of the work that Mr. Yenigues has put into making this program not only available for our middle school students, but the work he has done to create teamwork, to include our high school students as mentors to these students who are new to the sport, and for creating an environment where students will thrive and succeed, said (VUSD) Superintendent Kirk Shrum.”
