This is an introduction for athletes who are new to dive. We'll focus on:

  • basic jumps
  • tight streamline
  • learning body control
  • spatial awareness

with technique training on both dryland and in the pool.

Splashball - Tulare Session 2

Tulare Splashball Summer Session #2 - June 15th through July 17th

Monday through Friday - 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM

If you join Session #2 of Tulare Summer Splashball now, you may start attending the remainder of Tulare Summer Splashball Session #1 that continues through June 12th.

Session #1 is 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM Monday through Friday.

Session #2 is 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM Monday through Friday starting June 15th.

Splashball is an introduction to the game of water polo. Our objective is to teach basic polo skills and to spend a significant amount of time playing the game of water polo with ‘adjusted’ rules. We call this the FUN factor (i.e. players can catch the ball with 2 hands; players can ride noodles while playing; games are played in the shallow pool across the width).

Summer Swim Club Session


SOVA 2026 Competitive Swim Club - Summer Session

*Note: You may sign up for our competitive swim club if you pass our basic water skills assessment. Just show up at practice and we will administer the assessment, if you don't pass the assessment you can enroll in our Learn-to-swim classes and earn a SOVA Basic Swim Skills Certificate which will allow you to join our competitive swim club.

*IMPORTANT: The high schools sometimes have events come up that supersede our practice schedule. Be sure to check the practice schedule on the website and check your Remind messages from SOVA.

Visalia @ El Diamante High School:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday: 6:00 to 7:30 PM and 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM

Tulare @ Mission Oak High School:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday: 6:00 to 8:00 PM

Session Cost: $375.00 session fee with a $125.00 per month payment plan available.

The membership fee includes attending any swim practice and any water polo practice at any location. (USA Water Polo Club and USA Swimming Club)

2026 Learn-to-Swim Classes

SOVA 2026 Learn-to-Swim Classes

Learn to Swim id offered year-round. The complete Learn-to-swim course is approximately 16 30-minute lessons. With continuous attendance 4 nights per week for 30 minutes, the class can be completed in 4 weeks. We are flexible with your schedule so it may take you longer to complete 16 classes.

*Note: You may sign up for our competitive swim club if you pass our basic water skills assessment. Just show up at practice and we will administer the assessment, if you don't pass the assessment you can enroll in these Learn-to-swim classes and earn a SOVA Basic Swim Skills Certificate which will allow you to join our competitive swim club.

Learn to swim is for boys and girls ages 5 to 17. Please contact us for adult learn to swim classes

SUMMER SESSION:

MAY - No El Diamante classes for the month of May while school is still in and Visalia Recreation Swim comes into El Diamante from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Mission Oak Pool in Tulare has learn to swim between 7:30 P M and 9:00 PM in May

JUNE & JULY: El Diamante pool Learn to Swim 11:00 AM to Noon.

NOTE: Some designated Thursdays will be unavailable due to high school swim meets, during high school swim season.

4 Week Class Sessions - (4 )30-minute classes per week for 4 weeks* = 16 classes

No more than 4 students per class

$175.00 per 4-week session/16 classes. There is no additional fee if you choose to complete the 16 courses at a slower pace than 4 weeks. You get the full 16 classes at your pace.

Students take four Basic Swim Skills Unit tests on basic swim skills. SOVA Basic Swim Skills Certificate are earned upon successful unit tests.

We are flexible with schedules and working with families to complete the certification.

All youth athletes who want to join SOVA Swim Club and/or SOVA Water Polo Academy must pass a basic swim skills assessment. If they don't pass, they can enroll in the SOVA Learn-to-Swim Classes and earn a SOVA Basic Swim Skills Certificate that will qualify to join the swim and water polo clubs.

After you register just come to the pool (El Diamante High School or Mission Oak High School) between 6:00 PM and 7:30 PM Monday thru Friday to meet the instructor and work out your class schedule.
