SOVA Water Polo

SOVA Coaching Opportunities

SOVA is committed to the long term process of creating and contstantly improving an involved, enthusisatic and growing water polo community of parents, players, referees and coaches in South Valley region of the San Joaquin Valley.

A foundational pillar of achieving long term success is the recruitment and development of quality water polo coaches. Our goal is to maintain consitency with our long term head coaches with significant coaching experience at the club, high school and college level.

To maximize the value to our players we recruit post-high school, college and master's players to fill the assistant coach positions. We also extend an invitation to parents and coaches from other sports to participate as coaching assistants as we mentor them to become experienced, effective and motivated water polo coaches.

USAWP Coaching Manual

SOVA current age groups teams; Boys and Girls 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U and 18U. On some teams we have enough players to send two separate A and B teams to tournaments. As we grow we expect A and B teams for each of our age group teams. Our region has a long history of outstanding water polo programs and we look forward to providing interested community members the opportunity for continuing their participation in the sport as mentors to our young players.
